Retro-Fit Kit can fit in any existing drop ceiling grid system. As long as there is a 1 1/2″ clearance between the fixture and the ceiling. That means that no pipes or other obstructions will prevent the fixture from lifting out that 1 1/2 inches. There are two types of standard Retro-Fit Kits: Type “D” and Type “S”.
Retro-Fit Type “D” series is traditionally a black steel frame that holds deep cell aluminum louvers.
Allows for conversion of an existing fixture with a flat lens into a fixture able to hold a deep cell louver.
Three-inch deep frame allows appropriate depth for a deep cell louver to be installed
Retro-Fit Type “S” is a sturdy white powder-coated steel doorframe.
Use with existing fixtures that have missing, damaged, or mismatched doorframes or as a replacement for frameless lenses.
Steel inner frame swings open for easy maintenance and relamping.
